PURPOSE: Your Ning ID lets you create new social networks and join existing social networks on Ning.

SELLING POINT: Ning is the social platform for interests and passions online. With over 1.3 million Ning social networks created and more than 30 million registered members, millions of people every day are coming together across Ning to explore and express their interests, discover new passions, and meet new people around shared pursuits.

DIRECTIONS:

1. Go to http://www.ning.com/
2. Click the “Join Now” link in the upper right
3. On the “Sign up for a free Ning account” page, enter your name, email address and password
4. Then retype your password
5. Use the dropdown menu to select your birthday
6. Type the graphic code into the word verification field
7. Click the “Sign Up” button
8. On the “We now need to verify your email address” page, click the “Go to Email” button

   NOTE: Ning needs to verify your email address. Ning has sent an email to your email account and you will need to click the link in that email to continue.

9. Leave your browser window and open your email application
10. Click on the email from Ning
11. Click on the link within the email to verify your email address

    NOTE: You will be taken back to the Ning site and land on a welcome screen.

12. To add your photo, click on the “Browse” button
13. Search and locate a photo of yourself
14. Use the dropdown menu to select a Country
15. Enter your “Zip Code”
16. Use the dropdown menu to select your Gender
17. In the “About Me” field, write a short description about yourself.
18. Click the “Done” button
19. Congrats! You have successfully joined Ning.
